Area Foundation Scholarship Winners
 The Sandhills Area Foundation Board of Directors are pleased to present $30,000 in scholarships to area graduating seniors and college students for the year of 2007. The
recipients are from the entire Sandhills area and are pursuing diverse careers in their post-graduate education. The students were present at the summer Annual Recipient’s Dinner to accept their monetary scholarships, along with their family members. Congratulations to each recipient from the entire Sandhills Area Foundation Board of Directors and Members.

Area Foundation Scholarship Winners
The Sandhills Area Foundation, with a gift from the Cleo Bloom Trust for Scholarships and an increase in membership, has again been able to award scholarships in the amount of $27,000. These scholarships were awarded to 54 recipients in the amount of $500 each. With the continued support of the members as well as an increase in new members, we are hopeful this level of giving can be maintained and even increased.

Sandhills Area Foundation awards
scholarships for continuing education
Scholarships for continuing education were awarded to four area women by the Sandhills Area Foundation in 2004. The recipients expressed their desire to continue their education to advance professional skills and
receive degrees in their area of study. The areas of study ranged from nursing to elementary education. One of the goals of the Sandhills Area Foundation is to award scholarships to graduating seniors, college students and those pursuing continuing education in the hopes they will remain or return to Valentine to contribute to the area in their fields of endeavor.
