Special Benefactors


Scholarship candidates can be a graduating High School Senior, students currently attending college or a vocational school, or non-traditional students pursuing additional education.
Applicants must be a resident of Cherry County or any student enrolled in a Cherry County High School.
Scholarships will be accepted at any accredited college, university, junior-college, vocational school, or institution offering accredited nursing degrees.
Scholarship selection will be based on: Academic achievement, Good citizenship, School/Community activities, Evidence of educational and future goals, Financial need, and SAF committee review.

Applications for Scholarships

High School and Extended Education forms will be available at the Sandhills Area Foundation Annual Meeting on January
28, 2008. After that date, they will be available at the Valentine High School, Cody-Kilgore High School, Thedford High School, Mullen High School, The Consignment Shop, Susan Beel Law Office and Young’s Western Wear,
