Scholarships
SAF is dedicated to supporting education and providing scholarships to students in Cherry County. The scholarships provide financial assistance to aid students in successfully pursuing their educational goals. We accomplish this through the generosity of donors who have established scholarship funds.
General Information

Applicant must be a resident of Cherry County or graduating from a Cherry County High School.

Applicant can be a graduating high school student, a student currently attending college or vocational school, or a non-traditional student pursuing additional education.

Applicant must meet the criteria for the scholarship they are applying for and complete its application correctly and in its entirety.

Applicant must complete the current year's application. Applications from past years will not be accepted, and application or requirements may change from year to year.

Scholarship selection can be based on financial need, school and community activities, educational and future goals and academic and athletic achievement.

Scholarships will be awarded for educational expenses to any accredited post-secondary institution.

All scholarship applications are subject to a Scholarship Committee review and will be awarded on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. SAF does not discriminate based upon any protected status.

All correspondence and notifications will be sent through email.

Scholarship recipients must attend the SAF Scholarship Reception. Recipients will be honored, and scholarship awards will be presented at that time. If a scholarship recipient is unable to attend, there must be a representative present to accept the scholarship award on their behalf. Checks will not be mailed.

Scholarship awards must be used in the academic year in which the recipient applies.

Scholarships may not be awarded to all who submit an application.

Applications that are incomplete or received after the deadline will not be eligible.
The scholarship applications are closed and will reopen in 2025.

to attend an accredited college/university in the health care field. Preference will be given to an employee or relative of an employee of CCH.
